Quality Inspector - Rugby
I am currently working with a sub-contract sheet metalworking business based in Rugby. Due to growth, they now have a requirement for a Quality Inspector to join their existing Quality team based on the shop floor, working on the standard dayshift pattern.
Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the Quality Inspector will be responsible for:
- Conducting inspection of complex parts and assemblies using a Hexagon arm and Optical Measurement Machine in conjunction with manual inspection equipment.
- Completing 1st off and final inspection procedures.
- Creating and follow inspection plans based on engineering drawings.
- Programming inspection routines on the Optical Measurement Machine & Hexagon Romer Arm – running Polyworks software.
- Collaborating with other departments to review internal and external non-conformance.
- Generating detailed inspection reports documenting findings and recommendations.
- Maintaining calibration records for inspection equipment.
- Identifying potential quality issues and proactively suggest corrective actions.
- Participating in the continuous improvement of quality control processes.
- Communicating effectively with production personnel and engineers regarding inspection results.
The ideal candidate for the Quality Inspector role will have:
- A good knowledge of inspection equipment.
- The ability to read engineering drawings.
- Must have previous experience in a similar role.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control or a related field.
- Proven experience using optical measuring machines (OMMs) and proficiency in their software.
- Solid understanding of dimensional measurement principles and techniques.
- Experience using a Hexagon arm for 3D measurement and data capture is a strong asset.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (or similar software).
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles.
In return the Quality Inspector can expect to receive a competitive salary, 25 days + bank holiday entitlement and free onsite parking. The working hours for this role are on a straight day shift, which are: 08:00 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday, and 08:00 – 14:00 Friday.
A degree of flexibility will be expected if there is the requirement to cover other shifts in the case of holidays or sickness. The role is permanent and is monthly paid.

Laser & Press Brake Setter/Operator - Essex
I am currently working with an engineering business based in Grays, Essex who are a sub-contract sheet metal working company. Due to growth and an influx of work, they now have a requirement for a Laser & Press Brake Setter/Operator to join their existing team on the shop floor.
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Laser & Press Brake Setter/Operator will be using Trumpf and Bodor Lasers and Bystronic press brakes of 80T and 160T; ; however, if you have knowledge or experience of other lasers or press brake machines cross-training can be given.
The ideal candidate for the Laser & Press Brake Setter/Operator role will have:
- A good knowledge of laser setting and press brake machines.
- The ability to read engineering drawings.
- Gained previous experience in a similar role.
- Good communication skills.
In return the Laser & Press Brake Setter/Operator can expect to receive a competitive salary, shift allowance, 33 days flexible holiday entitlement and free onsite parking. The working hours for this role will be 1pm – 10pm Monday to Thursday, 1pm – 5pm on Fridays with 30 minute breaks, however, a degree of flexibility will be expected if there is the requirement to cover other shifts.

Estimator - Cannock

We are currently working with a well-established engineering company in Cannock, who are growing their headcount and are now looking to recruit an Estimator to join their Sales team.
Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, The Estimator will be delegated workload and responsibilities. They will engage with customers to build and retain relationships, occasionally negotiate on costs, close sales, and handle customer queries and complaints when required. Take customer drawings and requirements and create quotations based off knowledge and business resources available. Understand the processes and new technologies to be able to quote against these areas and help the business be competitive within the market. Follow company procedures on the sales process to achieve the desired results and work closely with the Sales Manager to increase business revenue and opportunities.
The main duties of the Estimator will include, but not be limited to:
? Interpret customer drawings and requirements
? Use company software and systems to collate quotations and packages
? Work with suppliers for material and sub-contract costs.
? Organise / prioritise workload
? Collate daily/weekly/monthly KPI data
? Work on RFQ projects through various documents and systems required.
? Hold commercial reviews on package projects with the sales manager.
? Implement sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
? Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and distributors.
? Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
? Occasionally visit customers to create lasting relationships and continued opportunities.
? Maintain and drive the company strategy throughout the business.
? Ensure HSE compliance and safe systems of working are adhered to.
? To aid in continuous improvement activities within the facility.
? To perform other duties as required.
The ideal candidate for the Estimator will:

Internal Sales Technician - Derby
We are working with an established company, based in Derby who provide thermal process equipment supplying to the electroplating and surface treatment industry. They are now looking for an Internal Sales Technician to support their small office team.
Reporting to the Office Manager, the Internal Sales Technician will have a variety of roles, due to being part of a small team – each person covering others in times of absence. Those duties will include:
Talking to customers daily on the telephone, with occasional visit to their sites.
Building relationships with customers to ensure repeat business.
Producing quotes and estimates.
Producing invoices and purchase orders.
Answering the telephone.
Taking in deliveries
Other basic admin duties as required.
The ideal candidate for the Internal Sales Technician will have the following experience and/or qualifications:
Good PC skills – Microsoft Office Suite and strong Excel skills
Good mathematical and analytical skills.
A qualification or good knowledge of Chemistry and chemicals.
A good telephone manner
Excellent organisational skills.
In return the Internal Sales Technician can expect to receive all required training on the company’s products – this will be held in Germany. The working hours for this role are 8.30 – 5pm Monday to Thursday, (32 hours per week), however with being part of a small team, there is a lot of flexibility.
The Internal Sales Technician role may suit someone finishing university with a qualification that includes Chemistry, or someone who has worked in a chemical environment and wishes to move into an office-based position.

Tooling Engineer - Redditch

Straight Day Shifts, Flexible Start Times - 4 day working week

We are working with a manufacturing client in Redditch who, due to massive growth, are seeking a Tooling Engineer to join their existing team.
Reporting to the Operations Manager the Key Responsibilities of the Tooling Engineer will include but not be limited to:
- The manufacture and maintenance of press tools, jigs, and fixtures
- Utilising traditional toolroom equipment and operating Wire Erosion/EDM machines.
- Maintaining a safe working environment within the toolroom.
- Programming and operating EDM machinery using CAD programs.
The ideal candidate for the Tooling Engineer will have the following Experience and Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferably automotive or aerospace.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- CAD experience - any package
- Be PC Literate
- Have good verbal and written communication skill.
- Have good attention to detail.
- Manual machinery - Bridgport, grinding etc experience.
- Have a minimum 4-5 years' work experience within a tooling environment.
- Hold a relevant Manufacturing/Engineering qualification or have considerable practical experience in a similar environment.
In return, the Tooling Engineer can expect to receive a competitive salary and package, work a 39 hour week – working hours can be flexible with start times, between 6 and 8. Benefits include - 3% employer pension contribution, company sick pay, holiday entitlement which increases based on length of service, cycle to work scheme.
